Twill describes the weave which is characterised by long diagonal lines on the surface of the fabric. It is made by passing the weft thread over one or more warp threads and then under two or more warp threads. An iconic example of a twill weave is Denim.
Twills are traditionally made from 100% cotton but can be mixed with other fibres such as polyester and elastane.
Stretch cotton twill comes in a variety of colours and has elastane content to give it the stretch making it superbly comfortable as well as smart! A high cotton content ensures a cool feel in summer, whilst the elastane keeps a good shape. We recommend a ballpoint jersey needle for our stretch cotton twills
