Attended a fantastic techniques session last Saturday. Whilst I am a competent sewist, it was wonderful to watch skilfully demonstrations with clear explanations and plenty of time to practice the techniques, some of which I hadn’t used before, but which are now in my toolkit to use again and again.

Great cakes (thanks Hils), company and venue. Super relaxing day. Definitely looking forward to the next techniques workshops.

First time attending an in person sewing class with Kaye and it was great! As a more inexperienced sewist the pace suited me well, clearly explained demonstrations with the opportunity to practice and ask lots of questions. I learnt lots of new skills, tips and techniques that have given me the confidence to push my sewing to the next level. The workshop had a friendly, supportive atmosphere. I look forward to attending more classes in the future.

Having been ‘in training’ with Kaye and Elaine at ‘The studio at Number 30’ for two and half years now, through various media, I have to say I get very excited at any opportunity to meet and sew with new and old friends, especially when I get the chance to review techniques previously studied or learn new ones. The Dressmaking Techniques workshop attended on Saturday last at the Community Hall was a really good day. We went though so many subjects that are really useful for home sewing with time to practise each step and plenty of question time (and tea drinking and homemade cake eating!!!) I would highly recommend anyone to come to any of Kaye’s courses; you would have a really fun time and learn a great deal from a really professional, knowledgeable and friendly sewist!!!!
