Get ready for summer with this stylish robe! Ideal as a cover-up for the beach, a throwover  with jeans and a camisole, or wear as a robe around the house. Choose the length that suits you!

What skills will I learn?

Although a simple garment, we will learn various techniques for working with delicate, fine fabrics, including:

  • Cutting techniques for fine fabrics
  • Creating beautiful French seams
  • Creating rouleau loops for belt and hanging
  • Incorporating a side pocket into a French seam
  • Mitring a corner
  • Pin hems
  • Couture hand stitches

What do I need to bring?

2.2 m of fabric for short version or 2.8 m for longer version

Recommended fabric – cotton lawn

Please ensure you launder your fabric prior to cutting out in the way recommended on the care label or website.

The robe sewing pattern has sizes XS-XL

33” – 43” Bust

26” – 36” Waist

36” – 46’’ Hip

Skill level – Beginner/Improver

This course is suitable for those who have used a sewing machine before, can confidently thread the machine and bobbin, and have completed at least one simple sewing project.

Note: If you are new to sewing, it is advisable that you join our beginners machine course before enrolling on this course.

Our sewing classes are relaxed and friendly, taking place at our beautiful studio. Class sizes are kept small to ensure everyone gets the time and attention they need. This does mean that booking is essential. The course will only run if there are sufficient numbers.
