Make Your Own Pietra Trousers

Our latest Sew-Along features the Pietra Trousers by Closet Core Patterns. They are the best of both worlds; a flat front, high-waisted silhouette with the comfort of an elastic waist in the back. Featuring lengthening panels in the front with slanted hip pockets and a hidden waist stay, you’ll never want to take them off.

What people say about this pattern

“I’ve made 3 pairs of the Pietra pants, they are so comfortable and look great on all shapes and sizes, very flattering”

” I have made two pairs of the long Pietra as well as the slim cropped. They are STUPID comfortable. Love the clever construction with the pockets!”

“Pietras’ are a winner, give them a go”

“Iv’e made 5 pairs! My favourite trouser pattern ever”

” I love my Pietras!!! They are so comfortable but look more professional since the elastic is only in the back”

We will be sewing together View A featured in the image above. Choose between a wide leg in floor-skimming or cropped length. What’s included in the price of the course?

How will it work?

The class will take place in a ‘virtual classroom’ using the video meeting software Zoom. You will need to have Zoom installed on the device you intend to use for the class, it’s free and easy to use. If you haven’t used Zoom before we suggest you have a practice before the class. Please download the free version via this link https://zoom.us/meetings

  • We also suggest choosing a quiet area to set up your machine next to your device. To achieve the best internet connection please reduce as many items as you can that are connected to your router.
  • You will receive an email link once you have signed up that will take you directly to the class. All you need to do is click on the link just before we are due to start. We suggest signing in 10 mins before the start time, you will be held in a virtual waiting room.
  • We encourage you to turn on your own video and audio so we can interact, and you can ask us questions – the idea is that it’s as much like an in-person class as possible!
