Recycle your fabric and patterns with us at our Saturday Swap Shop on the 1st Saturday of every month
We all buy fabric and patterns with the best of intentions to make that outfit ! Then of course life …. or lockdown gets in the way and we cast aside the fabric and move on to our next project. Now that spring has sprung and the sun is shining, we are inspired to delve into those shelves and dusty mountains of fabric & share our once loved treasures with fellow fabric lovers ! As part of our beloved Sewcial Society you already have the sewing community at your fingertips, so to help you to destash on the 1st Saturday of each month we will hold our ‘Saturday Swap Shop’ If you are not already a member of our Sewcial Society please contact us via the website with your phone number and we can add you to the group.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Hils will ring the bell at 10am to start the day off !
Guidelines to follow:
- You do not have to swap, the aim is essentially to give away any unwanted fabric or pattern but hopefully you will find something that takes your eye too!
- Minimum 1m of fabric
- Share fabric measurements & and percentage stretch if appropriate
- Take pictures of your fabric/pattern including reverse of pattern to show line drawings in good light
- Unused patterns only
- Please post / deliver the swap within 7 days
If you are part of our Sewcial Society and you don’t want to join in our Saturday Swap Shop, please remember that you can mute or set a custom tone for our messages
To Mute
go to ‘Group Info’, Scroll down to ‘Mute’, Click No, and click the 1st option of 8 Hours. WhatsApp will automatically unmute this group after 8 hours
