About The Tutor

Born in Hitchin Harriet Saywood-Bellisario graduated from the London College of Fashion and went on to work at Paul Smith, Richard Nicoll and Label/Mix to name a few before curating her own women’s wear label Saywood Studios in 2020.  She produces beautiful wardrobe essentials creating modern and timeless pieces is made to be worn and re-worn. At the heart of her story is a desire to reconnect with the people and processes behind what we wear, and in doing so, press pause on throwaway fashion. Her collections are small, built on quality pieces with longevity in mind. We take a responsible approach, working with sustainable fabrics and UK makers. The upshot? Uniquely designed, thoughtfully made pieces you’ll want in your life, always.

As part of her job Harriet also teaches the art of mending. She says,”The art of mending doesn’t have to be about the perfect darning technique” Whether you want to go colourful and bold or subtle and tonal patchwork can be the perfect way to repair those favourite pieces or give them a new lease of life so you can re love them all over again.
