Course Description
Do you dream of creating your own personalised pieces, adding a small piece of embroidery to personalise your garments or to add a personal touch to a pocket, lapel or even a secret embellishment on a garment only you know about!
We’re thrilled to announce our new Embroidery for Garment Makers course, designed specifically for those who are eager to learn this delightful art form. Join us for 5 weeks of mediative hand sewing and bring a spell of serenity to your autumn evenings as the nights draw in. During this course Donna will guide you though mastering lots of wonderful embroidery stitches so you will go away feeling confident to personalise your garments.
No prior experience is necessary! Our expert tutor will guide you every step of the way, fostering a fun learning environment and supported with a link to a WhatsApp group in-between lesson.
Embroidery is more than just a craft – it’s a form of relaxation, self-expression, and a wonderful way to create unique gifts for loved ones.

About The Tutor
Donna is an embroidery artist and educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. Based in Hitchin, her brand Make Your Own Happy promotes harnessing the power of creativity as a form of mindfulness and self-care. Donna’s colourful work is influenced by nature, particularly flowers and the changing seasons, which is reflected in the intricate designs of her embroidery kits. Through a wide array of creative workshops across Hertfordshire, Donna hopes to inspire students to explore the therapeutic and artistic benefits of embroidery. Her approach to teaching is both comprehensive and engaging, making her the ideal guide for both beginners and experienced embroiderers.

The venue has a large spacious well managed space close to Hitchin train station. It has lots of free parking and excellent toilet and kitchen facilities.
